BASEPOINT EXETER MATCH FUND £4943 FOR CHARITY BALLOONS

Basepoint Exeter donate £4,943 of match funding to licensee and nominated charity Balloons, who provide a pre and post bereavement service for children, young people and their families.

Basepoint Exeter which is owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant making charity, have been able to continue the ongoing support for the local charity and licensee Balloons by match funding an additional £4,943 which Balloons have raised through a variety of events including a City to Sea Ultramarathon where Ben and Daniel from Hawksmoor Fund Managers ran 55 miles from Exeter to Babbacome via Brixham.

The ACT Foundation who own Basepoint Business Centres, provide grants to individuals and registered charities, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for people in need. The ACT foundation has donated £4,943 which has been donated to Balloons is part of the ACT foundations scheme to support the communities local to each of the Basepoint Centres across the country. Each centre selects a local charity to partner with and actively promote and money raised from fundraising events are then match funded by the ACT Foundation.

Basepoint Exeter are delighted to be able to donate further funds to Balloons as they have been supporting the charity for over 4 years. This will continue to help to support the life changing work and services that they provide to young people and their families when coping with bereavement.
Balloons is a highly regarded local charity providing support and counselling to children and young people up to the age of 25 who have suffered or are likely to suffer a significant bereavement. The charity operates within the Exeter, Mid and East Devon locality and has done so for the past 7 years.
