A Kind 'ACT' For Charity

Dartford

Basepoint are known for their charitable activities, mainly funded by our sister company, The ACT Foundation.

It gives us great pleasure to annouce that we will be supporting Cardiomyopathy UK for another year.

Sarah Moore, Challenge Events & Corporate Fundraiser of Cardiomyopathy, and her partner James, will each be taking on a mamouth challenge later this year.

James will be taking on a solo Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle starting on June 24th, a true bucket list must! The route he is taking on will see him cover nearly 900 miles in 7 days, averaging a distance of 125 miles per day and up to 8 hours a day in the saddle. Sarah, will be driving along as support crew and meet him each night at campsites along the country for food, sleep and clothes.

Then it will Sarah's turn - on September 3rd Sarah will be swimming the One Way Swim, a 16km open water event the length of Lake Windermere. Having completed 5 and 10km swims before this will be a whole different ball game and will take around 5 hours of nonstop swimming to complete. James will be repaying the favour of support by canoeing next to Sarah along the length.

Sarah and James have both been training their socks off for these challenges. James has even cycled down from High Wycombe to East Sussex and back (110 miles each way), to see family over the Easter bank holiday weekend! Dedication to say the least.

Anything raised by Sarah and James will be match funded by The ACT Foundation - doubling all sponsorships for this much needed charity.
