Refurbishment of Gravesend Market - Keep our local history alive

The refurbishment of Gravesend Market was started in February 2016 and is now complete for all to use and explore.

There are some permanent stalls along with stalls that can be hired by the day. As a child, I remember my parents taking me there and getting lost in the crowds of people. There used to be lots of clothes stalls along with a haberdashery. I also remember hanging out in the cafe and buying my magazines from a man running a stall.

The Market is unique and lots of effort has been made to try and keep the character of the building. There is a Butchers, Bakers and lots of small little unique stalls selling there wears…. It is well worth a visit and I’m sure that the local stall holders would value your support in keeping this Market alive.

It is a peice of Gravesend history that we must keep alive so that it is with us for years to come.
