London Marathon Match Funding at Basepoint Bournemouth!

Bournemouth

Basepoint Bournemouth are very pleased to announce that we have match funded £1261.75 for Richard Taylor after running the London Marathon for our local charity Autism Wessex.

Basepoint Bournemouth has given marathon runner Richard Taylor a boost by matching every penny he has raised for regional charity Autism Wessex. The donation is part of a pledge to donate £10,000 in match funding to the charity in 2017/18.

Having overcome life changing brain surgery in 2011, business owner Richard raised £1,261.75 by running the London Marathon on 23rd April 2017. With his business based at Basepoint, Richard chose to fundraise for the centre’s long standing charity partner, Autism Wessex. Together they are able to make a donation of £2,523.50 to the charity.

Basepoint Bournemouth has supported Autism Wessex for over 8 years now, and all the match funding we pledge goes towards the Information & Advice Service for the charity. The service offers a free helpline, drop-in groups for adults with Asperger’s Syndrome in Bournemouth and Dorchester, support groups for parents, a parent training programme and the provision of an alert card for the local autism community.
