Romsey wins Charity and Community Contribution Award

Romsey

At this year's annual conference the team at Romsey won the award for Charity and Community Contribution. The team were extremely delighted and overwhelmed about winning this award.

The team won this award for their ‘out of the box’ ideas to raise money for charity. For Children in Need, the team decided to have a role reversal day, which meant Neil the Handyman dressed as a woman, and the girls, Kate and Sam were handymen for the day. The team raised £226 for the charity.

The centre team also took part various other events during the last year. To name a few;  a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, a Breakfast Drive Thru raising money for Red Nose Day and a Summer BBQ raising funds for their nominated charity, Blackmore Vale Riding for the Disabled.

Kate Bunyan, Centre Manager says “This is an outstanding achievement and it is a wonderful reward for all the hard work the team have put in over the past year. It was such a shock for Romsey to be chosen for the Charity and Community Contribution Award 2017, but we are all really thrilled.”
