Age UK Golf Day at Thorpeness
Basepoint Ipswich were in attendance at Thorpeness on the 20th of July as sponsors for Age UK Suffolk's Charity Golf Day
In total 13 teams took part in the golf day, which was held at Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel.
After a late morning snack of gammon filled rolls, teams headed out to the green for a 1pm 'Shotgun Start'. Refreshments of cold drinks and chocolate bars were provided on the green by AGE UK volunteers and fund raising activities such as 'double or quits' on the second hole made for a very enjoyable afternoon for the teams taking part.
After completing the course, everyone was able to enjoy a much needed drink and dinner at the clubhouse, followed by prizes for the winning teams and players, a raffle and an auction.
Assistant Manager Leanne Martin who assisted at the event, commented 'This was a fantastic event which Basepoint was more than happy to sponsor. Not only does it bring people together to enjoy a day out with friends, or even a team building exercise, it also raises funds for a fantastic charity who do wonderful work in the community."
