BASEPOINT EXETER CELEBRATES GX ACCOUNTANCY & BOOKKEEPING SERVICES 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Exeter

Basepoint Exeter helped GX Accountancy & Bookkeeping celebrate his 1 year in business and 1 year as a client here in our centre.

The evening was full of fun and excitement as Glen’s clients raced to the checkered flag whilst Go Karting at Raceworld, Exeter.

GX Accountancy & Bookkeeping Services is a new business who began with a Virtual Office here at Basepoint Exeter back in October 2016 and recently made the next step in becoming a full licensee of the centre with their very own office.

The aim of GX Accountancy is to provide the most effective and efficient accountancy, bookkeeping and tax services to you and your business. The founder of GX is Glenn Redler, a Chartered Accountant with almost 15 years of experience in the profession working with various types of business and organisations. So here is a Business showcase with Glenn Redler so we can get to know a little bit more about his new business……

How was the business born?
After working for my last employer for the last nine years, I felt that it was time for a change and wanted to take advantage of the expected changes to the tax system.

What do you do?
I take care of my clients’ various accountancy requirements, whether that is producing year end accounts and tax returns, or helping with their bookkeeping and VAT returns throughout the year.  I am proficient with various types of accounting software, such as Quickbooks, Xero and Sage.  I really enjoy helping my clients get the most out of their accounting systems and at the end of the day, if I can save them some money, whether it is a tax saving or even reducing my own fees, then I’ve done my job.

Who are your target market/s?
I am aiming to attract small and medium sized businesses, whether that is new start-up enterprises or long-term existing companies.  I am also happy to assist with individual tax returns and not-for-profit organisations.

What news do you have about the business?
As a new business, I am starting to make connections through Facebook and Twitter as I look to promote my brand.  If I’m not working, then I’m trying to keep fit, whether that is playing with Tiverton Men’s Hockey Club or training for my next running challenge.

What future plans do you have for the company – growth?
As with all new businesses, the first steps are to attract new customers.

Release of new products/services?
I have a good relationship with both Quickbooks and Xero.  Both are cloud based bookkeeping packages which are becoming more prominent in business.  These packages allow you to automate your sales invoices and produce financial reports easily so that you can track your performance of your business at the click of a button.  I can provide training in how to use these programs or can process the information on to them so you can keep an eye on your business performance.
