Basepoint Ipswich celebrates birthday with new charity partnership
Basepoint Ipswich celebrated its 4th Birthday on Thursday 17th January and also launched its new partnership with locally based charity, Cancer Campaign in Suffolk (CCIS).
Centre Manager, Michelle Wootton, was at the centre in Ipswich when it first opened its doors to the local business community in January 2009. Since then, the centre has gone from strength to strength and now houses 71 businesses, many of whom were in attendance at the event.
Michelle comments: “It was great to celebrate this occasion with our licensees. It was also the perfect opportunity to launch our new partnership with CCIS, a charity which aims to improve access to high quality information and support services to cancer patients and their carers in Suffolk. We initially chose CCIS as our charity because of the support they’ve given to our team in recent years, as well as the local community. We look forward to taking part in many fundraising initiatives in 2013, and building awareness of their work in the local community.”
Karen Hare, CEO of Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, adds: “We’re over the moon that Basepoint Ipswich has chosen to support us this year. Its fundraising activity will pay for the charity to continue supporting the Suffolk community, particularly the families and children of people who are undergoing cancer treatment and therapy.”
