Basepoint Welcomes New Licensee: ITERATE Design and Innovation Ltd
Basepoint Chepstow would like to welcome our new licensee ITERATE Design and Innovation Ltd, who took up an office with us at the beginning of October.
ITERATE is a product design consultancy. We work with start-up and established businesses in order to help develop a product from an initial concept right through to high volume production. We have a broad portfolio of existing clients and have developed products for the consumer, medical, industrial and technology sectors.
After spending a number of years working in manufacturing and studying a Masters degree in Rapid Product Development, Gethin noticed that many companies struggled to innovate fast enough. As a result, he created the RPD Pathway; a proven design approach that enables new products to be developed within a compressed lead-time.
Our in-house expertise includes: industrial design, mechanical and electronic engineering; as well as 3D CAD and 3D printing capabilities. A recent investment has also included a micro moulding machine, which allows us to print a mould tool and produce small scale plastic parts using engineering polymers.
ITERATE also act as Design Advisors to the Welsh Government on the SMART Innovation programme. As a result, we can offer 3 days free consultancy to R&D businesses that have 10+ members of staff. In this capacity, we have helped companies overcome specific technical challenges; identify alternative markets for their product; and advised on improving product development processes at a strategic level.
