Ipswich Names Best Place in the UK to Start a Small Business
The rankings were produced by the online business support platform Informi.
A high business survival rate, availability of ultrafast broadband, property prices, patents placed and start up rates along and low levels of pollution have been noted as some of the town’s top qualities.
Along with these qualities, good rail links to London, ease of commute and the new university have all helped to push business forward in the Suffolk County Town.
Speaking of these results, centre manager Alison Morrissey commented "It's fantastic that Ipswich has been recognised in this way but not overly surprising. There is a high number of tech businesses who are thriving in the area, and at the centre we regularly get to see businesses grow and thrive".
