Basepoint Ipswich Centre Charity turns 70!

Ipswich

Age UK Suffolk will be turning 70 this year.

Founded in 1948 with the aim of helping the elderly in the local community, centre charity Age UK shows no signs of slowing down in their old Age!
The charities goal is to enable older people across Suffolk to love later life and passionately promote their aim of providing support and help to enable older people to live their lives to the fullest.

This year, their diary is bulging with fundraisers including a cabaret night, quizzes and local golf days, which Basepoint staff will be supporting. Centre Manager Alison Morrissey commented "Age UK have a packed diary this year, which will allow us to play a really active role throughout all their upcoming events. We are especially excited to be taking part in the Golf Days again and are looking forward to the cabaret event!"

With so many events lined up, it doesn't look like this local charity will be retiring any time soon!
