PASTURES NEW FOR FORMER BASEPOINT TENANT NOTED IN STYLE

Folkestone

On the 11th May, the manager of the Folkestone Basepoint centre, Lorraine May, attended the opening of former tenant Noted in Style’s new premises. The makers and suppliers of bespoke stationery and packaging had their new office and production space opened by local MP Damian Collins. Once inside, the invited guests had a chance to look around the building and try their hand at foil printing their own books, as well as get their handwriting analysed by a professional graphologist. A traditional British afternoon tea was also served to keep guests refreshed.

The move sees Noted in Style purchase almost three times the space they had previously to accommodate the growth of the business and expansion into other markets. Having started with a small handful of noteworthy clients, they’ve since built on this and made loyal and satisfied customers of global brands such as Facebook, Google, Adidas and BAFTA and now employ a full-time team of 14 people. The new 4,961 square feet space is split in half placing their sales, design and marketing teams in the completely refurbished upstairs offices, and their production team downstairs in a specifically designed workshop. A meeting room, packing area, wet room and fully kitted out kitchen have also been installed.

Director Laura Turner remarked “we started out with one industrial unit at Basepoint and as we grew, ended up occupying three! We were bursting at the seams, so it really was time to move on to somewhere with more space. We’re grateful to Basepoint, as they gave us easy and quick access to more units as we needed them. We’ll always have fond memories of the place as it’s where it all began for us”. Indeed, having moved only 200 metres away, a nostalgic trip down memory lane is always just around the corner!
