SLICK REVOLUTION APPEAR ON ITV’S ‘GIVE IT A YEAR’
Slick Revolution, a customer of Basepoint appeared on the new TV program ‘Give it a Year’ which is presented by Karren Brady and aired on Monday 20th August. The programmed highlighted the impact that small start-up’s go through within a year of business.
Despite many businesses failing in the first year, Slick Revolution who is based at Basepoint in Romsey has gone from strength to strength.
Robert Simpson, Managingr Director of Slick Revolution began his business journey in a small bedroom at his parents' home in Yorkshire and has expanded into a large workshop at Basepoint Business Centres, all within one year of business.
Slick Revolution create top performing electric skateboards at an affordable price, with high top speeds, which have long range and are packed with awesome features. Robert moved to Hampshire a year ago and took a workshop at a Basepoint Business Centre which offers offices and work space as well as co-working and other flexible products. Robert thinks this has been a great platform for him to begin his business.
“I came across Basepoint and it’s perfect for what I need, as it’s flexible so I’m not having to put a lot of money down initially and I’m not tied into a long lease. I can leave if I need to if the business flops or I need to grow so it’s super useful in that way” commented Robert from Slick Revolution.
