Busy Networking Hub at Basepoint Folkestone

Yesterday marked another successful and busy Networking Hub at Basepoint Folkestone.
With close to 30 attendees and many new faces the networking hub was well attended.
The hub started with refreshments at reception were participants had the chance to chat and to get to know each other. Following this Assistant Manager Isabella introduced the speaker Ray Johnson from Independent Insurance Services. Ray is also the Chairman of the East Kent Economic Board, part of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce where he also serves on the main board.
Ray took the opportunity to share details of various developments in the area and their economic benefits, such as the Otterpool Park, a proposed garden town near Folkestone, the developments at the port of Dover as well as the Folkestone Seafront. Ray storngly encouraged the attendees to get involved by keeping in touch with the local developments.
Ray also took the opportunity to make attendees aware of support and funding available for small businesses within the area.
Following the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to network further over lunch, provided by the on site cafe 'Refresh Cafe'.
