This month we welcomed Sandy & Simon from South Coast Data Protection Consultants. Here is some more information about them. They provide data protection audits, compliance reviews, training, advice, policies and procedures and a consultancy service for all matters relating to data protection.
We are sure that you are all bored with hearing about GDPR and data protection and just hope it all goes away. However, the truth is that it won’t and in reality there will be more and more requirements on businesses to demonstrate transparency and to show they keep personal information secure and for only as long as necessary. The “Accountability Principle” requires businesses to have documented evidence explaining how they will comply with the law.
SCDPC can assist you with all elements of compliance from carrying out data protection audits and compliance reviews, providing data protection training, writing your policies and procedures, providing advice and a consultancy service and acting as your data protection officer in relation to all matters concerning data protection.
Both Simon and Sandy were previously working for a company as data protection officers but with GDPR on the horizon, we became aware that there were very few companies that dealt solely with data protection. SCDPC was formed in 2015 and we have grown and developed from that time.
Both of us come from legal backgrounds, Sandy is a practicing lawyer and has been for 22 years, dealing with litigation. Simon is a retired police officer, having spent most of his 30 years dealing with major and serious crime.
All businesses no matter how large or small have to comply with the legislation and, as such, we can tailor our services for any size business depending on their requirements.
