Defibrillator Donated to Basepoint Andover
Basepoint Andover have been fundraising for a centre defibrillator. £150 had been raised so far at a centre bakeoff held in August.
Since that time, new licensee Office Depot learned that Basepoint Andover were fundraising for a new defibrillator. Their offices already had the equipment and kindly donated this to the centre, so that this could be a life saver for anyone within the Basepoint centre or local area and not just stored within their offices.
The £150 raised so far by licensees and staff will be used for a new battery and pads for the defibrillator and general maintenance.
Lucy Middleton, General Manager, comments "We are so pleased and grateful to Office Depot Andover for donating their defibrillator. We had started to fundraise for the equipment, but when they learned about it they offered to donate theirs for everyone's benefit. We do not like to think it would need to be used, but it is so important to be prepared in case of an emergency situation."
