How to apply for the Business Leader Award at this year's Industry Awards

Weymouth

Does your boss go above and beyond for his/her employees? If so, they could be eligible for an Industry Award. Last week saw the launch of the 2019 Dorset Echo Industry Awards.

The awards bring together the best of businesses in the DT postcode sector, recognising and showcasing their achievements.

This year, The Business Leader Award is being sponsored by SWIB (Successful Women in Business).

Gill Donnell of SWIB said: “Successful Women are proud to yet again be sponsoring one of the Dorset Echo Industry Awards. As a Regional Ambassador for the Institute of Directors, I am especially thrilled to be involved in the Business Leader Award and look forward to welcoming finalists to the Ceremony in June”

The award will be presented to a leader who has elevated his or her business and supported the local community. The judges are looking for positive leadership, management and vision, as well as strong commercial performance and results.

Successful Women in Business was founded by Gill Donnell MBE, an experienced leader, motivational speaker and business coach, who has spent much of her working life promoting the role of women in the workplace. Delivering single gender training interventions, one-to-one coaching and the hugely popular Successful Women in Business Network, fast becoming THE business networking meeting for women in the South West. In 2009, Gill’s work was recognised with the Award of an MBE. In 2015, she won the Dorset Venus Award for Most Influential Woman and in 2018 was appointed as The Institute of Directors South West Ambassador for Diversity.
