Superhero Day - Fundraising Event
Did you know that 3 million children in the UK are at risk of going hungry during the school holidays?
With the loss of free school meals given out during term time, in addition to the extra childcare costs around the holidays, families already struggling with low budgets find it difficult to feed their children. The Holiday Hunger Schemes aim to put an end to holiday hunger by providing open spaces around the holidays for kids and families to come together to play, learn new skills, and share a meal.
At Basepoint Havant, we are organising a day full of fun activities in order to raise funds in cooperation with Wave 105 Cash for Kinds that will be donated to some of the clubs and organisations who run Holiday Hunger Schemes.
Join us on the 8th May at 11.30am for delicious superhero themed cupcakes sale and fun games. Rishi Ghosh and his students from the Quality Wrestling Academy at Basepoint Havant have happily agreed to take part by organising short wrestling matches.
You might even win a prize if you wear a superhero outfit! :)
