Customer in the Spotlight

Gosport

Continuing with our series of articles about our clients, we have Showcase Training. I met with Ellen Mould, from Showcase Training, to have a chat about what the company does and their thoughts on Basepoint as a place to set up a business.

Welcome Ellen, tell us a bit about Showcase Training and what it offers to its customers.

Showcase Training was established in July 2015 and immediately took space at Basepoint in Gosport.

Under the guidance of the Managing Director, Luke Bailey, we offer childcare apprenticeships across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset. We also offer first aid courses, paediatric first aid courses, stand-alone math's, English and ICT courses as well as a Safeguarding Level 3 course.

We aim to deliver a quality course that people will enjoy. We prioritise removing barriers for any age group to be able to learn, if they want to. We want people to be inspired by the course and have an amazing experience. A tag line if ours is Find your Passion!

Sounds amazing, so what is the business working on right now?

Right now we are building for the future.  During our recent OFSTED monitoring visit, we received excellent feedback across all areas.  We are very proud of our team for this achievement and this puts us in a great position for the future of the company.

Wow, amazing result from OFSTED, so you mentioned the future of the company, what’s in the plans there?

We are looking to expand into neighboring counties and add some new courses to our portfolio. Including Management & Business Admin courses and a Childcare Degree Level Apprenticeship. We are also working on an online platform for distance learning with our students. We are hoping that all courses will eventually be available on this software.

All sounds very exciting, and a lot of hard work!

So tell me what you think about Basepoint.

We love it! We are looking at expanding our office in the near future and we would love to stay and do that with Basepoint. We enjoy the regular hosted events and you really get a feel that you are part of the basepoint community rather than just a tenant. The breakout area is great too, the team often use this area to work or take a break. The Basepoint staff are all very accommodating and we wouldn’t be where we are today without Basepoints support.

So what’s the best thing if you had to pick?

I would say the Staff and facilities on offer, that’s 2 things but I can’t choose. The team at basepoint really are the backbone of the company and make it what it is.

Ellen, thank you so much for your time and your kind words about Basepoint. All the best for Showcase and I hope the future plans come together ready for your expansion.
