Bromsgrove say goodbye to Pat on her retirement

Bromsgrove

Staff and office clients gave Pat an amazing retirement send off with a coffee and cake morning. Pat Wakefield has been the cleaner at Basepoint Bromsgrove since the centre first opened in 2007. Earlier this year, she took the decision to take her retirement in August so she can spend more time with her husband, Terry, who has been retired for some years, and her daughter and mother.

The centre organised a collection and as proof of how popular Pat was around the centre, the management team were able to present to her a years National Trust membership for Pat and her husband, a voucher for a hotel break, a bottle of Cotwold Gin and a decorative gin glass as well as plants and flowers. We hope that she has many fun days out with her membership and we are sure that the gin will not last very long.

It will be strange not walking into the centre in the morning to Pat's cheery banter. We will sure miss her.
