Basepoint Brings Magic to Networking
A Magician, a journalist and a charity were on the menu for the Basepoint B2B South East Regional Networking Hub
Basepoint held another successful Regional Networking Hub which incorporated the Kent centres to include Chatham, Canterbury, Folkestone, Northfleet, Tilbury and Dartford. 52 local business people joined the event which took place at the beautiful Commissioners House in the Chatham Historic Dockyard. Commissioner's House was completed in 1704 for the Commissioner and his family. Above all it was built to entertain in grand style but it was also a family home.
Key speakers at the event were Janet Murray, Director of Last Word Group who gave an informative presentation on how to get national and regional press coverage for your business. The second speaker Tom Andrews, founder and CEO of the charity People United, a creative laboratory, introduced the work of the charity and explored the intersection between the arts, entrepreneurship and kindness.
The Regional Networking Hub gave local businesses the opportunity to network free, meet new people and generate new business. Each regional event will have key speakers presenting to the members on business ideas and best practice guides.
Jo Clark, centre manager at Canterbury Innovation Centre (Basepoint Canterbury) said: “Networking is really important for small businesses and events like The Regional Networking Hub will assist businesses keep in touch with no cost involved and also assist them in widening their networking circles by meeting clients from other areas. Basepoint centres have well established business communities and are the perfect place for businesses to meet, innovate and create”.
