Basepoint Shoreham Present Cheque to The Chestnut Tree House
Basepoint Shoreham proudly presented their nominated charity, The Chestnut Tree House, with a cheque for £1670.00 after match funding proceeds raised from the Manor Royal to Monaco challenge.
11 cars representing various businesses from across Sussex set off from Basepoint Crawley in Manor Royal in a race to Monte Carlo against Jeremy Taylor CEO of Gatwick Diamond Business making the journey by public transport. Over £20,000 was raised and split equally across a number of different charities, with the Chestnut Tree House having the added benefit of match funding for the total amount donated to them by Basepoint’s parent company The ACT Foundation.
The Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for over 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire.
Stephanie George, Centre Manager presented the cheque to Sarah Arnold at The Chestnut Tree House and said: "It is a pleasure to present this cheque to such an amazing charity. The work they do is incredible and we hope this money will help them support more families in need."
