Brian Andrews, Managing Director of Basepoint Business Centres Ltd, comments: “We are delighted with the Chancellor’s decision to extend the ‘Small Business Rate Relief’ scheme until April 2015. Historically, we changed our all-inclusive license fee to one excluding business rates, having realised the majority of our customers could be eligible to take advantage of the scheme, allowing them further reductions in costs. Now, many of Basepoint’s licensees will continue to benefit from the scheme, as well as over half a million small businesses across the country, with no business rates payable until April 2015.”
Basepoint now operate 30 business centres across the south of England and the Midlands and is the main trading arm of leading UK grant making charity, The ACT Foundation. All of the profits that are generated by Basepoint’s centres are ploughed back into charitable causes which assist societies most vulnerable.
