Basepoint business centre donates over £1,600 to Alzheimer’s charity
The Old Rectory Business Centre in Northfleet, Kent, is delighted to announce that it presented its charity, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services (ADSS) with a cheque for £1,632.35, from a series of charity events held throughout the year. The money raised will go towards providing entertainment at the ADSS day centre over the Christmas and New Year period.
The cheque was presented at St Mary’s Church Hall in Gravesend, the proceeds were raised over the past couple of months through a variety of events organised by the Basepoint centre including a charity night at Riva.
ADSS’ primary aim is to enable people with dementia to stay independent. As such, it has developed a specialist service to provide people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia with practical and emotional support.
Michelle Gagie, Centre Manager at The Old Rectory, comments: “We’re very proud to continue our support of ADSS. They do wonderful work, helping and supporting people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.”
