Basepoint Waterlooville appoints new centre manager
Basepoint Business Centres Ltd have appointed Amy Sparling, current assistant manager covering maternity leave at Basepoint Exeter, as the new centre manager of Basepoint Waterlooville. Amy will be relocating to the area and commencing her new role on 1st July, when she will also be enrolled on Basepoint’s Management Training Programme – the first person to do so at any of Basepoint’s centres.
The purpose of the Management Training Programme is to create an environment in which Basepoint employees can be given an opportunity to further their skills in a working centre within the company. As such, they will be given the opportunity to increase their knowledge and enhance their skills by actively participating in the day-to-day management of the centre under the guidance of a mentor. It is envisaged that by providing employees with an in-house training programme, the company will benefit by retaining staff and providing them with the opportunity for promotion and progression.
Amy comments: “I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity to progress and move up in my role within Basepoint. I’m really looking forward to the challenges my new role will bring, as well as the support and guidance I will receive from Basepoint’s regional team.”
