Sunflowers At Singlewell School
Singlewell School in Gravesend supported our campaign in Chatham and encouraged their weekly gardening club to take part. The children met every Tuesday after school and have a couple of areas in the school dedicated to growing flowers and vegetables. They set a-side a growing box for our sunflowers at the edge of the playground and here 3 sunflowers flourished. These pictures were taken 10 days before the end of the competition and the biggest flower grew an extra 30cm in the final few days. Here with the flowers are gardening club teachers Mrs Nash and Miss McMannigian and pupils Ellie Cunningham and Chloe Fraser both 7ys.
