Halterworth Primary School wins Basepoint Business Centre in Romsey’s Sunflower growing competition

Having just been rated by Ofsted as outstanding, and now winning Basepoint’s Sunflower growing competition, what will be on the cards for Halterworth next? The Sunflower growing competition has been running for the last ten weeks and local schools have been battling furiously with who has the biggest sunflower. Cupernham were hot on Halterworths tail, but when the final measurements were taken Halterworth reached for the skies and measured tallest!

Well done Halterworth for coming first, demonstrating your ability to do well in any field (or raised flower bed). Thank you for taking part to Cupernham, Nursling, North Baddesley, Wellow, Awbridge, Rownhams, Braishfield, Ampfield and Romsey. £250 worth of vouchers will be presented to Halterworth School during the new term’s assembly in September. Basepoint Business Centre in Romsey hopes to run this successful competition again, so come on schools, get those green fingers ready and the challenge will be on again next year.
