Sam Woolmer from Basepoint Luton raises over £8,500
Sam Woolmer, a receptionist from Basepoint Luton took on a challenge! trekking across India to raise money for Keech Cottage, Basepoint's nominated children's charity. The photos attached show the trekkers at a cancer hospice in Delhi; trekkers painting the inside of the hospice; children in the playground - in Sam's words "they were so happy I've never seen anything like it, and we had to show them how to use the swings as they'd never seen them before." a picture of the Nurses Consultation room in the hospice where Sam painted the Keech Heart logo to brighten up the room. A final shot of the finished project with all the equipment in place after 3 hard days of working and digging in 45 degree heat along with 2 days of monsoon rains!A big well done to Sam and all involved in making the trip and making such a change to young people's lives. A cheque will be presented to the Keech Children's Hospital very soon, along with further news on the trek.
