According to a new campaign, our office culture is having a lasting and sometimes devastating impact on our health.
The campaign, a partnership between the group Get Britain Standing and the British Heart Foundation charity, outlines the risks of sitting at your desk for too long each day which can include heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancers and poor mental health.
The campaigners suggest workers try standing more throughout the day, when they are on the phone or in meetings and walking to each others desks rather then using email.
Worried about your staff? Why not encourage them to take part in 'On Your Feet Britain' on 24th April - the first-ever national day when workers across Britain take on the challenge to sit less and move more whilst having a bit of fun and raising vital funds to fight heart disease.
