Basepoint Haywards Heath announces new charity partner
The team at our new Haywards Heath centre are pleased to welcome the Golden Lions Children's Trust as their first local charity partner!
The Golden Lion Children’s Trust, is an independent local charity founded in 1973 by British Caledonian Airways employees and other Gatwick Airport workers, supports local children with special needs and underprivileged young people. Completely self-financing the charity arranges a wide range of over 50 projects a year.
In 2004 the GLCT received The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award for Voluntary Services to the Community.
The charity continues to run as it did originally – by fund-raising within the community to support children with special needs and underprivileged young people from the local area
Lynda Guy, Chairman of the GLCT said ''The Golden Lion Children’s Trust are delighted to have been selected to receive the support of Basepoint Haywards Heath. This support will enable us to reach out to more children with special needs in the local area, through a wide range of projects and events. All GLCT projects are arranged with the individual needs of the child or group in mind. We are very much looking forward to working with the team at Basepoint Haywards Heath''
Basepoint Business Centres are owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading grant making charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need. Each of the centres is dedicated to fundraising for a selected charity. The ACT Foundation match funds any money raised by the chosen charity, up to the value of £10,000 per centre.
