Business Centres Matched Funding Reaches £178,000 for Local Charities

Staff and licensees at Basepoint have been busy helping local charities and so far have undertaken a number of fundraising activities including skydiving, climbing Mount Snowdon, abseiling Newport’s historic Transporter Bridge and hosting coffee mornings and raffles in their Centres. Between now and the end of March 2016, Charities and Basepoint will be organising many more activities with over £131,000 still to be matched funded.

All of the 31 Business Centres located in the South of England, Midlands, East Anglia and Wales are dedicated to fundraising for a selected local charity and The ACT Foundation match funds any money raised by the charity, up to the value of £10,000 per Centre each year.

Jim Kerr, Chief Operating Officer for The ACT Foundation, comments, “We are immensely proud to be able to help our local communities in this way and I cannot thank our staff enough for their dedication to raising funds for those less fortunate.”

Basepoint Business Centres are wholly owned by The ACT Foundation, a leading UK grant-making charity dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people in need, particularly those who have a physical or mental disability or the aged.  As such, 100% of the profit Basepoint Centres make is put back into local communities to support ACT’s charitable objectives.
