Winchester Promote the Benefits of Apprenticeships and practical Training

Basepoint Winchester were delighted to host an event recently to promote the benefits of apprenticeships and practical training. MP for Winchester, Steve Brine, spoke at the breakfast event and said: "We believe that it is British manufacturing, and the skills which underpin it, that must lead us to renewed economic growth." Steve added that he was very pleased to return to the Centre and wasn’t surprised to see that Basepoint were involved in this type of project.

Basepoint Camberley opens as Enterprise M3 LEP predicts a surge in workspace demand

The new Enterprise M3 Local Economic Partnership (LEP) recently announced that 70% of businesses in the area are expected to expand over the coming years – this shows high levels of confidence in the local economy, but there are fears that a lack of high quality affordable workspace offering up-to-date broadband, could hinder growth. This announcement comes as Basepoint Business Centres launches its latest centre in Camberley, which will meet some of the increased demand.

From start-up business to 21 strong company – the story of Crawley’s ‘Business Person of the Year’

Justin Acres, founder and director of Clearwater People Solutions, a recruitment consultancy based in Basepoint Crawley, was the deserving recipient of the ‘Business Person of the Year Award’ at this year’s Gatwick Diamond Business Awards. Justin set up Clearwater in 2004 and now employs 21 people and has an annual turnover of £10 million.
