The craft and bake sale organised by MacIntyre at Basepoint was a HUGE success. The items sold were made by the people MacIntyre support. The event was well attended by both businesses from Basepoint and the local community. They raised £175 on the day with the funds going towards a party for the people the company support. MacIntyre support adults with learning disabilities.
Jane Campbell of West Midlands ASA started the Christmas celebrations off at Basepoint with music and cakes to raise funds in aid of research for FOP (Fibrodysplasis Ossificans Progressiva) Jane's friends daughter has this rare condition which has recently been highlighted on Channels 4's The Human Mannequin. The condition is so rare that presently there are only 40 cases in the UK. The event started the Christmas activities with a sing-a-long and cakes it was a HUGE success and not only raised money but also awareness.
Basepoint Ipswich is preparing to celebrate its 4th Birthday on Thursday 17th January by combining the celebrations with the launch of a new charity partnership with Cancer Campaign in Suffolk.
