WORLD'S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING AT BASEPOINT BROMSGROVE
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning on Wednesday 25th September was a great success at Basepoint Bromsgrove. As a centre an amazing £142.20 has been raised in aid of Macmillan.
There were some delicious homemade and shop bought cake donations which went down a treat, these included banana bread muffins and apple and blackberry cake. Claveliis also baked us some amazing cakes which included lemon drizzle, coffee & walnut and Victoria sponge.
This was a great event and Centre Management are already looking forward to planning the event for next year.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 27th September is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. People all over the UK host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone Macmillan raised over £27 million and together we can make this another successful year.
The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £200 million for Macmillan.
