Real Good Ketchup taps into children’s habit of adding ketchup to meals, but in a healthier way by producing the condiment with no added sugar and 78 per cent less salt.
Now, the company has been named the Best Children’s Product in the World Food Innovation Awards 2021.
The World Food Innovation Awards, in association with IFE, are a celebration of innovation and excellence across every category of the global food industry and winning an award provides a hallmark of success, highlighting a company's contribution to the food industry.
Real Good Ketchup is served to over 20,000 school children in the Greater London area, and is leading the way in producing delicious, all-natural, no added sugar ketchups.
Founder Liz Jones said: “We are delighted to have won this award as it's testament to all our hard work, particularly in what has been an incredibly difficult year.
“With school closures over the past year and Brexit, we have had to adapt to the changes and have looked to export beyond Europe. Real Good Ketchup is in year three on shelf in Kuwait and we are launching into Saudi Arabia and Qatar this summer. Plus with schools finally open again, our goal this year is for Real Good Ketchup to be served in schools throughout Hampshire.”
Real Good Ketchup, which uses real tomatoes and no added sugar, beat off stiff competition from three other finalists to win the award, including Little Dish, Annabel Karmel and For Aisha’s.
The brand prides itself on its all-natural ingredients and is allergy friendly, making it perfect for children and adults alike.
Liz added: “It's a fact that kids love ketchup, our brand allows them to enjoy their favourite sauce, without overloading on sugar or synthetic sweeteners, it's a win win.”
