Charity Fire Walk for Pilgrims Hospice

Folkestone

On a cold Friday evening, just before Halloween, flames were flying high at the local Pilgrims Hospice in Ashford, Kent.

30 Brave men and women including Folkestone Basepoint's Centre Manager Emma and her partner Stuart, faced the flames to complete a firewalk in aid of the Pilgrims Hospice to raise much needed funds for end of life care.

Dubbed 'the hottest, shortest sponsored walk in the world' Pilgrims Hospice firewalk is a barefoot walk over red-hot wood embers measuring up to 800 degrees!
The Pilgrims Hospice website reads that 'a firewalk is a truly life-affirming experience.  You will conquer the most primal of fears and if you can walk on fire, you can find the confidence to do anything.

A great evening was had by all with Emma and Stuart raising a whopping £609.
