Charity Donations!

Folkestone

Over the past month or so the staff and customers here at Basepoint Folkestone have been donating to two wonderful local charities, The Rainbow Centre/Shepway Food bank and the Rhodes Minnis Cat Sanctuary.

The Rainbow Centre is a charity that delivers a range of services in Shepway to provide support and hope to individuals and families experiencing deprivation or hardship.

Services they provide include a winter shelter for homeless people as well as homeless support services. They are also part of a nationwide network of food banks working to combat hunger and poverty.

Food donations are especially important since over 90% of the food they distribute is donated by the public.

The Rhodes Minnis Cat Sanctuary was founded by the late Miss Veronica Huthwaite in 1970. The Purpose of the charity is to take in and care for unwanted and homeless cats and kittens from Kent, London and sometimes further afield. Some are strays, others have been ill-treated or abandoned, but most are brought to them by their owners because, for one reason or another, they are unable to look after their pets any more.

A huge thank you to Reina Group, East Cliff Developments, Ben Taylor from Consolidaire Wealth, Morgan Cargo Limited and numerous individual customers and staff of Basepoint Business Centres, Folkestone for their kind donations.
