Charity Fundraiser Gig 21st October 2017

Dartford

Basepoint Business Centres is proud to support local charities – in our centres case, we are currently supporting Cardiomyopathy UK. We have a particularly close link to this charity following the loss of our previous Assistant Manager, Kirsty Gordon-Thomas’ husband. Lindsey was just 33 when he lost his battle to the disease, during Kirsty’s time with us in October last year.

With the kind and generous support of The ACT Foundation, who owned Basepoint up until our recent sale, all fundraising through Basepoint management team, our licensees and the charity itself, has been match funded up to a maximum of £10K per year. They have committed to honour this for the rest of 2017, despite the change in Basepoint’s ownership.

Following this news, we are determined to maximise this final fundraising opportunity. Therefore, please ‘Save the Date’ for ‘Close to Heart’ in association with Kinetic IT Ltd (resident licensee), Keltie (Lindsey’s former employer) and Kirsty herself. The event will be fully supported by Basepoint, thus obtaining full match funding (confirmed as uncapped, unlike previous events!)

‘Close to Heart’ – an evening of fun and musical entertainment and more will be held on 21st October 2017 at Dartford Football Club. Finer details will follow as planning is in full swing. I can not tell you how much hard work and planning has already begun between both parties involved to ensure a fabulous evening, 1 year on in memory of Lindsey. We plan to make this BIG!

We hope that many of you will join us on this Saturday night – the bar will be open and there will be some great live music (with Tom from Unit 75 performing himself!). As already mentioned, we intend to make this our biggest fundraiser yet – so please spread the word, bring along your friends or come with your colleagues. Official invites to follow.

Appeal for Help

Amongst the entertainment, we will also be holding a raffle with some already promised fabulous prizes. This is where we call upon our licensees for support, if and where possible. If anyone can contribute a raffle prize, it will be so gratefully received. Please let me know if you can and what you are able to donate. Cash donation are equally as appreciated – we are happy to purchase some prizes on your behalf  Support of local businesses will be acknowledged with a company logo displayed on posters and any advertising associated with the event. Ideally confirmation of prizes required by Friday 14th July as advertising is being designed and this info would be helpful to have prior to print.
