Welcomes tri group

Exeter

tri group are a leading firm of turnaround, restructuring and insolvency professionals. They work with businesses, charities and individuals to help find practical, common sense solutions to financial difficulties. We’re proud of our traditional standards of integrity, professionalism and service, boasting a level of experience and expertise which is unique outside the very largest firms.

How was the business born?

Although we can trace our roots back as far as 1837 our current name tri group has been in existence only since March this year! Previously we have been known as Burton Sweet Corporate Recovery which merged with Stonham & Co group in 2016. The recent name change has been on the back of merging various other similar businesses around the country over the past few years. Our Founder Graham Down (although he’s a little older he didn’t start the firm in 1837) has built the business around our central belief ‘because experience counts’. Our talented team of experts definitely have experience, with most of the team having spent over 20 years’ in insolvency and supporting financially distressed businesses.

What do you do?

We help businesses, not for profits and individuals faced with financial difficulties to overcome those problems. Our services include business turnaround and restructuring, as well as formal insolvency procedures such as administration; liquidation; voluntary arrangements (CVAs, IVAs and PVAs); bankruptcy. We also provide insolvency and recovery services to credit controllers, lenders and local authorities, as well as expert witness support in relevant circumstances.

Who are your target market/s?

Our core services are for Businesses and Organisations and their Directors, although we do work with Individuals and on behalf of Credit Managers and Lenders.

What news do you have about the business (think new staff, charity involvement, PR activities, new business contracts won)?

This year our chosen charity is the Miscarriage Association, this is a fantastic charity that help families that have been affected by miscarriage providing information and support to all family members.

What future plans do you have for the company – growth?

Over the past few years we have grown through merging with other practices, our current growth plans are through our individual offices around the country. Securing our place as the most talented financial support team outside the big accountancy firms.

Plans for recruitment?

In Exeter we have welcomed only recently our newest team member Tasha Welsh, she has joined us as an apprentice. Nationally last year we welcomed two new team members Toby Holt and Adrian Edmonds (who supports our Exeter office and the South West). We have no other planned recruitment for the time being, but the future is never far away.

Release of new products/services?

Our newest focused service is Business Turnaround, we are seeing more and more businesses that require support to maintain their businesses and to avoid the bumps in the economic environment we find ourselves in. Working with businesses to secure a future is always our first focus.

New business contracts?

Our service is highly confidential but in industry terms we have supported businesses in various sectors from Agriculture to Bio Energy, from Academy schools to Manufacturing and many others between.

Thinking of expansion to new locations?:
