International Coffee Day is on 1/10/18 with this years celebration focusing on women in coffee.
International Coffee Day is being celebrated on 1st October. The International Coffee Organization has chosen a very special theme for this year’s celebrations: ‘Women in Coffee’. Women play as important a role in the whole of the coffee chain as men, from planting the seeds to processing to trading to brewing… and drinking it. Have you considered how many women it took for you to be able to drink your daily cup of coffee?
The 2018 campaign goes beyond paying homage to women! highlighting the need for equity and equality in the coffee sector, from bean to cup, and that can only be achieved by empowering women to the benefit of the whole coffee sector.
