WORLD'S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING AT BASEPOINT BROMSGROVE

Basepoint Bromsgrove has raised £70 so far for Macmillan with their coffee afternoon on Wednesday 26th September to celebrate the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
There were some delicious homemade and shop bought cake donations which went down a treat. Claveliis also baked us some amazing cakes which included lemon drizzle, banana & mars bar, chocolate brownies and cupcakes.
There will be coffee and cakes on both Thursday and Friday for any of those that missed the opportunity to pop down for the main coffee afternoon.
This was a great event and Centre Management are already looking forward to planning the event for next year.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 28th September is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. People all over the UK host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone Macmillan raised over £27 million and together we can make this another successful year.
The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £200 million for Macmillan.
