Stand up to cancer – Gaming Challenge

Bromsgrove

This October Stand Up to Cancer are asking you to take in a gaming challenge to raise funds for life saving research. Simon Cole who is based at the Centre is taking part in a 40 before 40 challenge and he is taking on this gaming challenge to achieve one of his challenges which is raising money for charity.

Simon will be attempting a 24 hour plus non-stop gaming challenge this October; last year he managed to complete 24 hours non-stop. This year he would like to see how much further he can go with his goal ideally at 48 hours.

One of Simon’s challenges is to raise £1000 for charity; other events that he will be doing include shaving his head, creating and selling a piece and taking part in a colour run.

If you would like to support Simon on completing his challenges and reaching his goal of raising £1000 for charity, please visit his Giving page.

Stand Up To Cancer

100% of the money you raise goes towards speeding up life-saving research. This research is specially designed to take ground-breaking discoveries from the lab and turn them into new treatments and tests that could actually save lives. Every day, scientists and researchers work tirelessly to beat cancer. But lab researchers alone will not get us there. Stand Up To Cancer is an injection of cash to speed those breakthroughs from the petri dish to patients through clinical trials and research programs, saving more lives, more quickly.
