Spitfire Marketing creates a spectacle in Southampton
Things are certainly looking good for Basepoint licensee Spitfire Marketing, which has been appointed to provide full marketing support for a stylish new retail offering in Southampton.Occhiali opens its fashionable new premises in Bedford Place in late November, offering the most comprehensive range of eyewear in Southampton. With over 700 frames on display including new and bespoke collections of leading brands like Prada, Versace, Oakley and Tom Davies, Occhiali’s independent new store offers elegant surroundings with a wide range of frame shapes and colours. A unique pair of glasses can be custom-made on-site to individual order, allowing customers to walk away with new glasses in under one hour, having relaxed and enjoyed a coffee. Spitfire has just completed its first advertisement for the store and as well as the advertising has designed the store’s corporate identity and will be providing public relations support and media buying. Commenting on the appointment, Spitfire Marketing MD Andy Rose said, “This a great opportunity to launch a new retail concept in Southampton. Occhiali (which means spectacles in Italian) is an entrepreneurial young company and we are looking forward to helping them become a great success in eyewear retailing.” Spitfire has negotiated a promotion with local style magazine, DV8 and will be running the ‘Face of Occhiali’ competition in the New Year when the search will be on to find the man and woman to be the face of the new brand as part of an exciting competition with some great prizes.
