Basepoint Waterlooville presents The Elizabeth Foundation with a cheque for £2,500 after match-funding the proceeds raised from an auction held in the evening of their annual charity golf day.

The Elizabeth Foundation is a national charity which helps support infant and pre-school aged children with hearing loss. A generous £9,000.00 was raised from the day which included a golf tournament, auction and dinner at Corhampton Golf Club. The 16 golfing teams battled it out in the heat of the day to help raise funds for The Elizabeth Foundation; with Basepoint fielding two teams, one headed by Basepoint’s Executive Trustee of The ACT Foundation and Chairman, Denis Taylor's Aged Stars, and the other by Basepoint’s Regional Manager, Alan Paterson's Basepoint Banditos, of which both teams managed to winner prizes but it was Denis Aged Stars who won the Stableford competition in the afternoon! Centre Manager of Gosport, Mark Chivers, Won both the Beat the Pro and the longest drive awards!

Before the bidding action began David Small spoke on behalf of the parents at The Elizabeth Foundation about how grateful they are for all the fundraising, and how it is used to benefit and enhance the lives of the children and support the families.

Heidi Kruger, Centre Manager comments: “I am pleased we are able to continue to support The Elizabeth Foundation as our local charity. This is the first cheque towards this years pledged to match fund £10,000.00 and I am delighted to know this money will be used to help more families.”    

The Elizabeth Foundation believes that every child has the right to be given the opportunity to learn to listen and talk. They provide a range of services and support to young deaf children and babies and their families.
