Museum of Army Flying celebrates 60 years of Army Air Corps with lecture series

The Museum of Army Flying is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Army Air Corps by hosting a series of talks at the Middle Wallop centre this autumn.

High-ranking officers will be giving first-hand accounts of their experiences of war in the monthly talks, with the first to kick off the series on Thursday, 7 September.

This week’s talk will hear from retired Brigadier Richard Folkes on reflections of the Gulf war, followed by lectures on the Falklands war, Bosnian conflict and Aden crisis in the coming months until December.

All lectures start at 7pm and the museum’s Apache café offers a curry dinner from 6pm.
