Andover Young Carers Match Funding
Basepoint Andover's local nominated charity, Andover Young Carers, are due to be match funded a total of £3,000. Basepoint have so far match funded a total of nearly £7,000 since April 2017.
The funds were originally raised by Andover Young Carers, with events including an Afternoon Tea Party and most recently working with Test Valley Golf Club with a variety of fundraising events.
A young carer is someone aged 18 or under who helps look after a relative who has a condition, such as a disability, illness, mental health condition, or a drug or alcohol problem.
Andover Young Carers provide support and respite for Young people with caring responsibilities, to share their issues and common experiences so that they are free to positive life choices.
