Customer in the Spotlight

Gosport

Here is your weekly dose of Customer in the Spotlight. This week I have met with Steve Rogers from RAICO Bautechnik GmbH. Here's what we talked about.

Morning Steve, thanks for taking the time to come and speak to us about RAICO. Please tell us a bit about what RAICO does.

Between myself and the team. Neil Bunting – Technical Support & Tracey Hall – Sales Support

RAICO Bautechnik GmbH designs, develops and distributes high quality glazing systems for curtain walling, aluminium windows and doors.

Our THERM+ curtain walling system can be made available in traditional aluminium framing, but also in timber and steel.

The FRAME+ aluminium window and door system offers a range of options in terms of glazing thickness, operation and thermal performance (including Passive House standard).

The WING series of aluminium windows are available as natural and smoke vents (to the latest EN standards).

RAICO are a technology leader in the industry and our portfolio of innovative products enables us to meet our customers’ requirements.

That sounds very technical, are there any projects that you have done that I may have seen?

Absolutely, our biggest project in the UK was the Tottenham Hotspur football stadium, the glazing all around that was designed by RAICO.  RAICO also designed glazing for the Tate Modern in London and the Library of Birmingham.

You may also have seen some of our work at Strawberry Fields in Liverpool on the site of the old children's home, or the Salvation army head office in London.

Impressive examples there, some high-profile clients that you have worked with.

What’s the company up to right now?

At the moment we are working in a project in Bicester Village Shopping Outlet and a retail park in Leicester.

We are working on securing some other projects too.

We are planning an open day and the office in Basepoint in September and we will be heading to Germany for a Summer Festival at our head office, this is a social event for employees and families of RAICO. They call the event RAICO-NECT.

Sounds great!

What do you think of Basepoint Gosport as a place to run your business from?

We have been at Basepoint in Gosport for almost 7 years. The location suits our staff as it is very easy to get to from Gosport and Fareham. The high standard of the buildings, their maintenance, and communal areas reflects the image that RAICO UK likes to offer our own customers.

The Management Team at Basepoint are very professional, community orientated, and can’t do enough for you should there ever be a problem.

Steve, thank you so much for your time and telling us a bit about RAICO Bautechnik.
