End of Year Fundraising Best so Far!

Dartford

Basepoint Dartford are delighted to have raised £28,831 for our chosen charity, Cardiomyopathy UK throughout 2017. In fact Cardiomyopathy UK confirmed that an event organised by Basepoint licensee, Tom Cella, combined with match funding from The ACT Foundation, raised the highest amount in one event to date.

Michelle Gagie, Centre Manager of Basepoint Dartford ran The Dartford Half Marathon on 12th March 2017 raising £1,255 including match funding from The ACT Foundation.

Sarah Moore from Cardiomyopathy took on the UK Windermere One Way swim & LEJOG Challenge following her partner James’ solo cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats – which he did in 7 days! That’s 130 miles a day! They raised £1,420 between them and the ACT Foundation provided match funding of £1,390.

Our biggest achievement for this year was an event organised by our licensee, Tom Cella and his business associates, Close to Heart, where Tom reformed his old band for one last time and performed at Dartford FC. Not only did he sell £3,030 in tickets, he raised a further £3,126 in raffle tickets and £3,510 in live auctions. The total amount raised by Tom was £12,576. We were able to donate the final remining money left in our match funding kitty for the year of £8,610 and the deputy chairman of The ACT was so impressed with the efforts he pledged a further £5,000. This event raised a total of £26, 186 – more than we could have ever dreamed of.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way.
